FWIW, if anyone were planning to build their own 825/828 boxes, it'd be worth working with this seller just to buy and ship the horn flares, even just to have as patterns, tho i'd be tempted to reinforce and use them.

Having built a few, i'm here to tell ya they're the most difficult part of those boxes to get "right", thank god for construction adhesive.

My meaning was glued together in addition to the use of screws. I guess obviously in this case..ONLY screws were used.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I had the same thought abut the flares when I had seen the ad. I know there is a company out there selling flairs but I was thinking it would be better to see one of the originals to figure out how they were made originally.

I'm betting those cabinet were glued, but the glue may not have been holding all that well, after so many years. It's also possible that they didn't come apart as nicely, as we think..... I'm not looking at the pictures now, but I don't think we were given any close up shots of the former joints.
